Studio Upgrade Suggestions
Hello,
I recently have been selling gear and buying some stuff. I’m mainly focused on producing, but still DJ on the side. I recently sold my traktor s4 because I wanted to go back to turntables. Everything for me is 64 bit as Maschine is my main sequencer. Here’s my set-up-
-20 Inch LCD Monitor
-i7 3.4ghz, 16 GB RAM, win 7 desktop
-Yamaha hs50m monitors, ATH M50 Headphones
-Novation 61 midi Keyboard,
-Maschine/FL Studio 10
-NI Audio Kontrol 1 interface
-VST’s-Komplete 8 Ultimate (on order), zeta/rapture/dimension pro, nexus, omni/trillian,
DJ Set-up
-2 Technic 1200 mk2’s, 2 m447 carts, old Gemini mixer, traktor 1 license
The desktop I got used for $700 with the traktor s4 money. Then I got one Yamaha hs50m monitor used for $100 then the other for $120 (when it came out). I always neglected monitors for some reason due to living in a apartment. Future purchases-Auralex mopads, Vestax Pro III 05 vca mixer ($200 from local music store) or a used rane ttm56s, audio komplete 6 interface (next year probably). In the next couple years I want to move to mac. I learned Pro Tools from a friend on his set-up, and in some studios. Any suggestions here? Long term goal is to produce for a living, and DJ a bit on the side a bit. Thanks for any help.
