I have two studio monitors in my room to dj and produce with plus a pair of TMA-1 but i need a subwoofer. I looked but im not so much into it. It shouldnt be especially good just something really loud to impress the friends and preferably it should be active. Price shouldnt be much over 400 USD. But just as cheap as possibly!
Thanks!

Very solid subs for how small and cheap they are to build. The horn-loaded design is a bit complex, though. I would recommend that someone cut the wood for you if you don’t have precision tools.
If you want to go for a more simple bass-reflex design, I could give you the plans I designed to build a pair of single 15" subs. Not as efficient and loud as the horn-loaded sub, but it will get down flat to 35hz. It will need a solid 600+ watts RMS to get it moving.
I’ve never been impressed with any home/studio subwoofers for the consumer market. Just build yourself a low-tuned 10" or 12" sub. PM me if you’d like some designs. You can build a great sub for under $150 that will go down to 16hz
