Suggestions for syncing between imac and powerbook

Hello,

My main computer, where I download music and manage my collection is an iMac.

I also have a powerbook laptop that I will be using to DJ at gigs.

So far I have been syncing music between them by putting tracks on a USB and then installing them on my laptop.

However, I am going to start organizing my collection through Rekordbox and am wondering what the best way is to keep music synced between the 2 computers so I don’t lose any metadata.

Does anyone have suggestions for a killer workflow? I was thinking of signing up for iTunes match but it sounds like they replace your tracks with the ones on their sever so I’m guessing it loses all your metadata.
