Sync two Laptops Up?
How would I sync 2 Laptops up together to play two instances of Ableton that can be synced to each other. The two laptops would be connected to my mixer.
How would I do this and what sort of leads would i need if it is possible?
You would need two usb midi cards, then tell one computer to send a midi sync to the midi out of the card, and tell the other computer to pick up the sync signal from the midi in on the other midi card.
You can also use WIFI, with a mac it will be easier.
