this is why the forums were off last night 
Yup all fixed for the moment after hours of pulling our hair out resolving the issue, while we were at it we did a lot of preparation for the new version of the forums that is getting ready to be rolled out over the next few days too 
Hooray!! ! Something looks a little different now. Did some sizes change or something?
Nope no cosmetic changes have occured
It’s just the way that our memory works… that has us remembering stuff that was way different than it actually is.
I guess when the page loaded and I finally got my fix my pupils dilated and my heart raced so everything looked different.
Nope, the smilies are arranged differently now. I demand it to go back the way it was before I start putting sad faces where I meant to put smilie faces.

Also worth mentioning is that we made a number of tweaks to the backend of the site that should result in some rather large performance increases of the site
