Thanks NZ Tax department for funding my habits

Just got off the phone with the IRD. And have just ordered a Kontrol X1 + Bag courtesy of a whopping refund. BooM! Cant wait

let me know what the x1’s like when you get it!

will do. should be here by wednesday dude.

Damn those bags are a bit steep huh … $85

Ive had an X1 since first release. One word describes it. Solid. Its obviously great for TSP but it’s a really versatile controller all round for other programs too. Using the plug and play for TSP opens it up so much.

Whats the bag like J.M? should be gold plated for what i forked out for it lol

Bought the bag from a different shop so will be interesting to see what arrives first.

top shelf old chap. How did you manage that? Tax eludes me man. I know i pay it every in shops and it comes off my salary every month. Dont do the tax return thing. I know you can submit a load of receipts for certain things and get it back. But is it worth all the PT? I guess its the law and all…

I usually don’t get much back … around $100 or so. But i was out of work for 6 months so got a bit more than usual .. $500 ish. I just rang up about my student loan and it was all sorted in 10 minutes

Which city are you in, mate? Nice to see an NZ face on here.

I also was without work for 6 months about 3 or 4 years ago.

Luckily I also had an Unemployment Fund…not much…but it helped.

Fisrt time i’ve been out of work for over 8 years dude. @ willrjmarshall i’m in blenheim, or as we like to call it … boom. And i got an email today telling me the x1’s are on backorder so will have to wait a bit longer than anticipated for my new toy. The bag looks nice on my desk tho haha

@Jester…yeah…was mine too!

I worked for a top media company for 8 years…then moved on to a mates smaller company.

Was retrenched after a year…and sat for 6 months…no work.

Then got my current job. Its been 4 years.

Not working sucks badly!!!

not a holiday at all!!

Even worse when you are married :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m glad I was never not working.
I’m working since my last year of university, 2006, so I’m a bit young to know how is it

LoLz… Getting around €3000,- each year.

The whole living together thing works us well for the above mentioned cash.

sure puts back the plans for buying gear a bit when you have other priotities .. like eating asnd paying bills. but back to buying toys and getting drunk a lot for this lad! between me and little brother we’ve spent over $6k on gear this year :stuck_out_tongue:

Wassup Will - there is a few of us Kiwi round these parts - where you from?

I never get tax refunds just bills last year it was 2K :expressionless:

Still waiting for this to arrive! bag turned up today, sitting down at the couriers tho.

The beast arrived this morning  all set up, i have a load of wood to stack (being a hillbilly and all) and this afternoon i’ll start work on a full comprehensive mapping. Most of the basic functions i’ll keep but i wanna fully map out the second page for EQ’ing etc, and change anything else that annoys me. The unit is a lot bigger than i thought actually, or maybe i just have tiny girlish hands haha. peace.

sorry man, you left the barn door open on that one

thats what she said!
