That “eastern” sound
hello guys and gals,
can anyone recommend me some “eastern”/“Indian”/“Hindu” .sounding dance tracks.
even some samples would work.
sorry for my lack of a better description.
You might like something from Beats Antique. Or maybe Talvin Singh.

None of these are technically ‘eastern’ but have elements of ‘that sound’ and might help bridge the gap at the beginning of your set if your playing after someone who is playing stuff more from the ‘west’. A sort of eurasian selection 
Technically not an eastern riff but has that ‘sound’ if your playing to people who are uncultured in world music (which face it is almost everyone) you can easily get away with it. Its Russian (in-case god forbid you didn’t know about proxy):
Proxy - 8000 - Bear in mind this has a low bpm.
Santigold - You’ll Find A Way (Switch & Sinden Remix) → maybe too obvious?
Stuffa & Andy - Pretty Girls (Sinden Remix) → supposedly the original is nicer but I haven’t listened to it yet.

Dude Bill Laswell is EPIC. Also a second for Asian Dub. Though they have a Hip-hoppy flavor as well.

Dont forget some Jah Wobble… Several of his songs have that Middle Eastern dub feel. He did a few songs with Bill Laswell also.
Does that fit your description? If so, I’ve got a couple other dubstep tracks that have a similar feel.
you can try finding a song you already like and lower the mid on it by 50 percent and then find a acapella and a 1-3 beat of this eastern sound and plug it in ?
Theres another track. Really like it, but unfortunately, there is really only about 2 minutes of useable material in it, due to radio silence during the break, and the fact that the pre and post break bits are identical.
That one has got a decent groove. Dr. Sin’s Amirah track is waaaaaay better IMO. Not sure why he doesnt have a youtube for it…
