First of all, my deepest condolences to Mr Jobs’ family, friends and collegues.
This is a sad day. Just like anyone else, I respects the man a lot.
Now, I came up with this theory just now, and was wondering what you guys think of it.
Might the fact that Steve’s death was coming up (Which most Apple Execs knew about) have influenced the launch of the iPhone 5? (Supposing they worked on one)
The 4Gs falls in line with Apples track record. I think the 5 was just wishful thinking and things to write about when tech blogs had nothing better to say.
R&D dont come cheap and even less mass producing something like a phone. They will get the money out on a design by re-releasing the same shell with new guts.
Still Apple products rules remains: Never buy the first version and skip a model the minimum when upgrading devices. I got the 3GS but not the 4. Maybe I’ll get the 4S or 5. For the Ipad 2 thrid version will be skipped and maybe get 4 or 5… possibly 5. Anyways Apple will let this fact be know by simply not supporting your device when OS updates get released.
