The amount of time you spend on here & other sites?

I know I spend quite a lot of time on here and facebook, and sometimes ebay (when I give myself false budgets for phantasy cars I might one day buy). This is generally due to the fact that right now I’m not in full time employment, I just DJ a couple of nights a week which sees me through. I’m looking for work but kinda learnt to enjoy my unemployed status as I can practice scratching and generally lounge around like the bum that I am instead of stressing about it. So yeah, I just have the internet on in the background all day and check out the few sites I go on when I have a break from scratching.

Just wondering what other peoples stories are. I know I’m on the internet far too much.

I’ve been out of work for about 4 months, and you’d think that would leave more time for practise etc, but it seems to be the opposite! Yeah ddefinitely gotta get out of the habit of leaving the wireless on when having a jam :wink:

Really, we need to learn how to focus and make more of our time.
I spend too much time on the Internet and television, but I’m married, i think that’s normal. It’s hard to focus when you have someone that you love asking for your time to love you back :open_mouth:

Oh no!! Sorry man, I’m unemployed, got nothing better to do with my time. I should have labelled the title “anyone else unemployed here”.

I also spend a lot of time here at DJTT, reading nearly every thread, dont really know why. I should better practise some more and stuff, uhhh …

Quality answers! Glad I’m not the only one. I got rid of my TV now I’m on here all fucking day long. All I’ve done is substituted one thing for another. It’s like quitting booze but starting smoking.

I’ve just realised. I need one of these girlfriend thingys, then maybe I’ll have sumink else to occupy my time.

My wife thinks that too. She wants to become a DJ but she’s too lazy to spend more time reading and trying stuff hehe
She says she will never be as obsessed as me :smiley:

i love the internet! before that was the library, but this suits me so much better… accomodates my laziness. i try to juggle my time between classes on political economy, my social life + my girlfriends who think im lost to the dark side, and the dark side (internet/djtechtools/gadgets)

if you like to frequent blogs and optimize your time online, try using google reader if you’re not already doing so. it centralizes all posts from any publishing website to feed into your reader, all you have to do is scroll. you dont even have to move your eyeballs too much.

My wife thinks i’m having an affair. But no, I’m not facebooking 19 year olds… nothing like that. i’m here replying to threads on DJTT… I’m doing it now too… right now… oh no… i’m writing about writing on DJTT… Shit that’s unhealthy.

Maybe I love DJTT too much???

I suppose I have to think what i’m going to get DJTT for valentines too then?

Thing is I work from home editing but it’s just too tempting to click on here and have a read and have a little post.

I’m actually jealous of Bento’s 5’000 plus postings too. My wife will understand though wont she that i’ve got too reach that many postings??

yeah I discovered this site a few months ago and i am pretty much addicted. i’m on here constantly at least once a hour…actually i’m sitting in class right now lol :confused:

Man I’m like you for almost 2 years… I can’t say I don’t like it, I just want to say thanks to this community and help everyone I can because everyone helped me so much alredy, directly and indirectly
