Work hard. If you don’t want to upload your mix for viewer count reason - then please go home.
If you want to dj for the enjoyment and letting people enjoy the same type of music as then you keep working/upload/Share.
//end it
pretty much the only dj to get “famous” off youtube is that bl3nd clown
you’re not going to get famous uploading mixes to youtube
seems there are quite a few people that have gotten noticed on youtube for production related stuff though but that’s a different story
Mainstream is where all the views are at..
You need a gimmick to make it big on youtube, talent is much further down on the list. Try quick mixing <insert “genre” of the moment> and taking a dump or starting a food fight or wearing some sort of eye catching costume or mask.
Only cats get famous on YouTube.
Make an epic fail/cat video and have your mix in the background.
Make awesome mixes
have hot girls in video
upload them to YouTube
???
Profit
If anyone knew the formula to Internet vitality by now, you’d already see it being abused heavily.
Basically this, although there are a few guys who’ve done really well for themselves such as dj ravine and dj cotts. i’m far from famous but uploading mixes to youtube has defo helped my career a tonne and pushed me to step my game up. to OP, make an effort to develop a style (based around the things that you enjoy about djing). upload mixes that show 100% of your skill level at the given time (even though you won’t be comparable to someone like craze), enjoy yourself and use it as an opportunity to better yourself as a dj.
True, but guys like hawtin, carl cox and jeff mills all have a respectable amount of plays on their mixes on youtube
Cats and or Kittens
YouTube’s gonna go crazy over my new controller. I call it the KittyFighter 3D; it’s a 4x4 grid of baby kittens in a box with RGB LED backlighting. Pushing down on each kitten creates a different note, and you can modulate the sound by tilting the box.
Now you see I’d watch that video all freaking day.
Look’s like we have another 12 year-old wanting to become a “famous” dj with no talent. It takes years to become good and most dj’s never become “famous” to the mainstream. Go home kid.
Sharks, kittens, lasers, boobs, boots, and a shitty 10 dollar mask from the local costume shop.
DJ Ravine doesn’t do anything crazy.
You need to be likeable, play stuff that people want to hear, and also actually do something when mixing. A DJ routine on youtube is tedious if you showcase the select + sync style of playing.
That is what mixcloud, soundcloud etc are for.
Good quality sound and video is also paramount.
No but seriously, the only ways to get famous on youtube are
MOST OF ALL:
1)))) DON’T BE FULL OF YOURSELF. Be confident, but remember there’s a lot of skilled DJ’s on the interwebs ![]()

The only people that get “famous” on youtube are gamers and bloggers.
oh, and stop trolling ![]()
