The day finally came.

The day finally came.

I might be a little late on this compared to a lot of people. Ive been mixing records for about 15 years now. Back in 07 I purchased Serato and haven’t bought a record since. I didn’t like Serato at all so I purchased Traktor scratch pro only about 6 months later. Since then ive used CD timed code to DJ. Well I just received my x1 in the mail today and put my CDJ setup for sale.

Ive finally been able to let my ego float away and not care about manually beat matching as if I were using vinyl.. I plan on using the tempo sync to match the bpm but I still enjoy nudging and adjusting the tracks so they float together in harmony.

Thanks for reading my rant.

Cheers!

Welcome to the who cares side. It feels pretty good over here to not get all worked about something so silly.

According to the purists you started cheating back in 07! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m with you photojojo…who cares?

(FYI to OP-- people do care and they may weigh in)

Ive never claimed to be a vinyl purist.

I only cared about beat matching manually.

Funny I just blogged about this…

Just read your post and I can totally relate. Especially the bit about being reinvigorated with DJing altogether. It reminds me of how I felt 12+ years ago when I started…It’s a great feeling to be (re)inspired about making those feet move on the dance floor!
