I have been lurking a bit but I happy to join the group.
There alot of interesting stuff in in here and inspirational stuff. Anyway, has anyone see this new NI product? I looks pretty cool for 79.00 USD
might be pretty cool if I could run tractor through it and funk up my set.
Yah, right alot of potential for some real creative fun. It will give me something to do with some of the older midi controllers I have hanging about haha.
I’m pissed. I need that software. At $79, it’s really affordable.
You know what I’ve noticed though? In these videos they always show the stuff being used in a way that you have to be some kind of crazy expert to use (not that I expect to be able to just pick it up in a day, I’m just sayin). Remember being a kid and seeing toy commercials and the commercial would make it look all cool and then it was just a hunk of plastic that didn’t come with the exciting action/backgrounds/music/etc?
Been meaning to test this but havent picked up a copy of the finger just yet, id load it as a VST inside of Ableton live which i have my audio routed into.
This is a hot topic on the Reaktor Forums. I am not familiar with Sygar Bytes Artillery, but I will be looking into it now that I’ve seen it compared to the Finger a couple times.
Thanks to Tim’s older videos and people like Chris List who make killer mash up ensambles in Reaktor, key mashing, has been going on for a while now. It makes the Finger “seem” done before, but it is actually an amazing advancement on these ideas. Plus it’s super small on CPU.
You dont have to be a Reaktor Wiz to use it. It’s really simple. What trips me out about Tim’s video is not that he is obviously a wizard in building with Reaktor, or that he has tons of controllers. It’s amazing to me how he has zeroed in a particular style and set up and appears to have mastered it.
