the NI website is down. Is this somthing big

The NI website is currently down. This could be an update releasing the new Traktor with a major overhall of the website. Im guessing somthing has gone wrong and it should be back up. I couldnt imagine it is anything more sinister or high demand like when traktor 2 came out.

Its the day before namm, NI dont attend shows like this anymore, so overshadowing the event seems like it could be there plan

my feeling too… but man, server can fail anytime

especially around NAMM time when everyones hammering it

It cant see them running one server it would be a small cluster. A site shoould never be down. it just all seems a little coincidental

NI is just going dark to protest SOPA/PIPA

NI’s gone down before for no particular reason.

lol that maybe it.

I guess we will just have to wait and see

I think it’s just down, even in the past when they’ve launched something new its not like the site stops functioning altogether. My hope is that if it is down for a reason it’s because a) new release or b) Site overhaul so I can actually go on my iPad.

If it was a site upgrade, they could have at least put up a message “we’ll be back soon”. But nooo, everything including download.native-instruments.com is down just when I need to get the S2 driver.

Ive been trying to pull a file from NI for over a week now and havent been able to even start downloading it because of site issues - badly frustrating !

works fine for me

was down yesterday to. Was trying to upgrade a customers traktor and service center, took about 3 hrs just to get the downloads going.

keeps going up and down, they are having a lot of traffic.

Hopefully they are fixing their broke ass tech support system.

Maybe it’s the 24GB worth of updates I’m downloading on Abbey Road Drums

Yeah its his fault.

nah… theres work ongoing. People might have noticed some issues with being redirected to the website instead of the forum.

Bloody Flash innit.

im surprised NI havnt gone to sumthing like ruby on rails its rock solid, secure and has nice syntax. The site is down too often, it makes me worry about my data’s security, I have bought stuff with my card off there site

Yeah… you have to wait until all the top bars are loaded before clicking a link.

I was thinking it was kind of a Zen thing, trying to make the angry folks think twice before posting their sentiments…

sopa?

lol… I don’t even know what to say.

The language doesn’t dictate the security. You could write a shopping cart that mass emails out credit card numbers in any language if you don’t know what you’re doing.
