Pretty early hardtrance/psytrance. Back then the dividing lines were more along label lines than genres - more of a “Tidy Trax” than a “Platypus” sound.

Nice old track this. reminds me of tinrib sorta. few cds at discogs but the only mp3 version i found was on Rapidshare. guess beatport wasn’t around in 96 huh.

Hahaaaa!! Tinrib…I still have me some old 12" from them They were a good “hard trance” label.
You can hear the Hardcore/Gabba influence in Limey’s track (the genre everyone wants to forget and pretend didnt basically START the rave scene in many regions). This is when all “trance” was at least like 145-160bpm and almost every “subgenre” (all 5 of them back then) had a 303 working it’s ass off in the track 
Not to highjack here but I figure if anybody would know where I can pick up this one it would be you Limey (since our musical beginings and tastes are very similar)
I’ve gone as far as trying to contact Airwave directly but nothing yet (nothing on the regulars either…legal or otherwise)
I might be able to help you out with that Velvet Girl track. I talk to Laurent myself and during that time of his career, Additive really gutted him on those releases as he was leaving Sony BMG. He doesn’t really keep up with the “Velvet” releases cause in his opinion (and its true), it was really milked dry with mediocre mixes.
Anyhow, send me a PM, I’ll check my collection for you
