First of all, if you’re a hater, then stop reading and don’t post anything.
I’m starting this thread because in this forum I feel like there aren’t many people that like progressive house so I’m really curious to find out who else is into progressive house. Maybe this could start something bigger, like tips for prog house DJs and producers or share unheard tracks… or whatever.
To start off, Axwell is my favorite producer/DJ… I can’t get his new song out of my head “Center Of The Universe Remode.” What do you guys think?
Im a progressive house hater because of the whole ‘EDM Cheese’ out there, but ive found a few really good non cheesey prog tracks. so something like this could open me and others up to some great music!
Personally this is not my kind of music, but I agree with the sentiment, this thread is for people that like this kind of music.
It is not a discussion on why you dislike it.
This is my main genre and what most of my money gets spent on, so good to have this and see what other are playing and whats getting rated vs slated!
There is a ton of non cheesy stuff out there, if you listen hard enough and do enough digging; I will have a wade through my collection and try and pull some stuff out to post later
I love how OP made a thread about (I think) big room type house and instead of people blatantly hating people just started posting more old school type progressive house.
That Sam Paganini track is amazing.. definitely one of my current favs too.
Back in the late 90s/early 2000s, I played prog pretty much exclusively. I guess there was cheesy stuff back then too, but now it seems like you’ve got to dig a lot deeper to find stuff called “progressive house” that’s not completely corny.
What’s cheesy? You guys are talking about Swedish House Mafia? I honestly don’t mind cheesy. I like everything that sounds good. Progressive house is turning more into pop, if that’s what you mean is cheesy.
EDIT: Not starting a debate or argument, I just want to know what’s cheesy for you guys. Keep the hate to yourselves though.
