The Twelves

Anybody out there rocking The Twelves? They are a duo of mashup/mixers from Brazil. Their latest mixtape (from October '09) is incredible. I think they are possibly the most tasteful mixers out there, none of this flashy mash-up garbage, but creating new moods with different combinations of sounds.

yo frog, this mix is out of control. thanks for the heads up.

just glancing at their myspace picks, it looks like they’ve got a pretty simple set up, just one laptop and a couple midi keyboards (i’m not quite knowledgeable enough to ID them). sounds great

yeah ive been rocking these dudes for a while. their sound really gets people to move.

my sets usually have at least 3 12s songs. they are my favorite!

Their setup seems to be:

  • 1 M-Audio Axiom 61
  • 1 M-Audio Oxygen 61
  • Crappy Laptop w/ Ableton
  • And that one guy uses the mouse a lot

Been loving the twelves for a while now. Love the sort of new disco sound they have.

My favourite of theirs. Love the pianos.
