So today i picked up my s4 that had been “repaired” over the past 2 weeks, when i got to the shop they told me there just some foreign matter in the faders and that was the issue even though quite taken aback that it took 2 weeks to spray some compressed air in there i just went with it, once i got home and plugged it in it was obvious that this was not the case as there was still an issue but now it was not only 1 fader but all of them.
So i decided to spin some Vinyl and then i notice a very strong smell coming from one of my turntables, long story short i opened it up and a plug and maybe a resistor on the circuit board underneath the bit that spins ( i know very advanced terminology ) had completely melted.
Then i dropped my new iphone and cracked the screen
Anyway i was just wondering if anyone had had a turntable blow out on them like this and if you have, have you had any joy fixing it?
+1000. Try losing your house or having someone dear to you in an accident for a “worst day ever”.
Anyways, just ask around where you live for people that fix that kind of stuff. Try other DJ’s, clubs and similar people that use that type of equipment on where they go when that happens. Same thing with the Iphone. Perfectly fixable. After fixing put it in a chunky case with a screen protector.

Thank’s that iphone case actually looks quite inviting guess ill grab a new screen from china, im about to start going through the phone books to see if any electronic repair places can fix turntables, just not really sure what to say to them besides something melted.
