These Ads Are Seriously Fail

i’m really hoping i’m not the only one experiencing this issue, or i’m gonna sound like a whiny btch, but i gotta a serious beef with these ads. not the content, size, distraction factor, or anything like that. but since their implementation, reading posts has been a chore.

the first post will load, but right below the “Why Ads?” link (where the ad should be), the page loading just stalls. i dunno where these ads are stored, or what code is calling them up, but it’s giving me trouble (Safari 4.0.3). i have to refresh the page a few times for it finally to load as normal. all other instances have been a complete stall of the page load.

hope i’m not the only one

i use firefox + winxp. only issue i’ve experienced is there is a slight increased delay on loading times for the page.

starting to think i may need to make the switch back to FF

FF is the greatest, 3.5 is ridiculously faster than 3 was, and get adblock+ :slight_smile:

yeah back when i used FF adblock was my favorite plugin ever

well i deactivated adblock on this site to help contributing a little money and i’m clicking some links regularly. at the moment this ads are okay, as long as it doesn’t get so bad that half of the page and all free space is taken by advertisements..

Ill have a look into this issue to see if i can decrease the page load times
