a friend told me that victor calderone is bigger than marco carola.
i did not respond to that considering that he has 8 years of clubbing/dancing -VERSUS- me who have 1 year exp but i’m into music production and DJing and i know about record labels.
with that said, i’m more advanced than him and know more. You can’t compare someone who has been clubbing for 8 years versus someone whos getting into the core of music.

i believe marco carola would be bigger than victor calderone for a few reasons. First of all, victor only gets gigs mostly in the USA (which are unknown clubs/parties) 20% of the time victor gets decent parties @ known venues. Victor is on some record labels that are unheard of, or not big enough. victor gets 46 gigs in one year. (nov 09 - nov 10)
marco carola got 96 gigs in one year (nov 09 - nov 10) marco carola is the one more in demand. marco is on record labels that have a reputation. hes gigs are ranged from reputable clubs to festivals. a lot more festivals than victor.
now the lineup last night for a party i didn’t go because i was @ a underground party. but anyways the party was christan(open) victor(12) marco carola (closing) who is the main event dj, the headliner or the closer ?
is headlining even 12am ? which is the dj who spins in between the open/close?
What time did the party end? I wouldn’t say 12:00 is headliner time but around here, club gigs begin at 12:00. I don’t think it’s just down to a timeslot but also sometimes to one’s rep.
For instance, a lineup I saw this summer was as follows :
resident dj opening/Jeff Mills/Damian Lazarus/same resident dj finishing. Now the headliners are the two in the middle, but which one is the headliner? JM has the biggest rep of the two, yet played before DL.
