Do they not realize the only reason why the Spin is in demand is BECAUSE it’s so cheap?
Greedy bastards…I hope they choke on some stuffing this Christmas…better yet, I hope no one buys them and they end up having to sell them all at a loss.
Its all about supply and demand. Supply goes down and price goes up. Demand goes up price goes up.
Supply goes down, demand goes up, price goes up as does the amount of foolish people who think “I must have one no matter what the price because everyone else does!”
It to be expected that folks are trying to capitalize off a hot product during the holiday shopping season.
My beef is that probably the reason it’s on back-order is that Apple didn’t stop people from buying multiple quantities, so they’re out in the stores and there’s all these people sitting on stacks of them.
the reason it kind of makes sense for them to have them that high in price right now, is because it’s almost XMas. How many parents got this on their kids wish list, and how many of them actually know a thing or two about MIDI controllers. It does suck though.
Supply and Demand is not meant this way otherwise the supply would increase to meet the Demand.
This is not what Adam Smith had in mind or he would called his treatise the “Rip off Of Nations” not The Wealth of Nations.
Any slight grasp of Market Equilibrium would show that this is not supply and demand seeing as this seller will no doubt sell very little of his product thus supplying nobody.
This makes my blood boil as well. I hope the seller gets fucked in the ass by the huge cock of Greed.
For what it’s worth, apparently other companies are limiting stock due to the recession. I had to wait a full month for my Launchpad, because initial runs were limited as they tested the waters.
