Thump did a story on me…

David Garber over at Thump wrote about me and my daily struggles as a blind DJ. I am just sharing this story here because it talks a bit about my DJing with Traktor and why that is so important to me today, and why I am a supporter of using the computer & controllers as DJ tools. Some of you here know my story, others don’t… Please share my story if you like it, hopefully it inspires others with disabilities to always push forward. The only thing that can stop you is you!!

Incredible story!

You keep on amazing me, Lance!

It’s a pleasure/honour to know you through the boards over the years!

Brilliant story mate, really inspiring too!

Incredible story brutha! Keep doin what you’re doing. You inspired the hell out of this dude with no physical disabilities - I can only imagine how inspiring your story is to those with disabilities.

Thank you, but the pleasure really is all mine.

And thank you everyone else as well!

I owe a lot to this board, since it really did help me learn, expand and develop my skills with controllers as my eye sight was deteriorating.

Awesome!
I’ve been aware of your situation from your posts on here, but to see it explained in that article is pretty inspiring.
Good luck with the New baby as well. …we were pretty late to the party having our daughter, but she’s the single greatest thing in my life now.

That’s certainly inspirational. Fair play to ya bro! Congrats on your daughter too.

This is truly inspiring!! Keep doing your thing..

I saw the story before this post.

wow dude , ive been on here a couple years now and had no idea of anything about you other than you seem to always be on point , discussion wise, and this led me to peep your music and could tell you were a professional. this story is very touching and im glad that you were able to get so far before your vision was taken, otherwise we’d all be missing out a great talent.

Thanks very much for all the well wishes guys. I have been realizing how important it is that this got shared with the masses. I have already had to people with disabilities reach out to me because of this story. Its great to know that this is giving others the courage to keep on pushing themselves. I know for me it was a very scary struggle at first, and I look forward to being there for others in their journeys…
