I noticed DJTT is now selling the AiAiAi TMA-1 Headphones in their online store.
Would love to hear some comments on the performance and quality of these new cans. Maybe Ean or someone from DJTT could give their input or experience please?
Also, if any of you are new owners, then your feedback would be great too!
I’ve been drooling over these headphones since I first saw them last week or so; the company website has an ad with some engineers and DJs talking about them. On the one hand it sounds like a lot of hype; on the other, they are exquisite looking and I imagine they sound pretty damn good. I’m looking forward to the first review I read of them…
I’m looking for new ones right now so I’ll definitely give them a listen, but I’m 99% sure they’re not going to end up in my setup because, sadly, I need bigger cans (which is the only reason I decided to let my beloved hd25 go).
Exactly how I feel about these cans, LOL! Saw a couple of quick reviews on head-fi.org but not much about using them for DJ purposes. Though I did notice that some were complaining about adhesive used on the under-side of the headband (to cover the wiring). Seems it’s not so secure.
Thanks for these links – after reading these reviews I’m a bit underwhelmed. The design is beautiful but from reading the reviews, the sound quality is not what it’s been pumped up to be. For $200 I’ll stick with my A+Hs, I think…
I’m interested in seeing a comparison between these and the HD25-II’s. I’m in line for a new set of cans for Christmas, so it’s something I’m going to be watching closely.
they look awesome but multiple sources say that the rubber band is coming off rather quickly, still unsure wheter to get the TMA-1 or HD25’s as my first real Dj headphones
Yeah the headband issue seems pretty common, but also nothing that a bit of loctite wont fix for good.
Which reviews were actually bad? Most reviews I have read had very good things to say about the sound, mostly in comparrison with the 25 as well ie on par or better, or not quite as good.
TBH absolute sound quality is not something I care about in this purchase, I have seperate headphones for listening to music allready, all i care about is good isolation. Ive been using technics for years and have never found their level of sound quality an issue.
thanks, but I bought shure srh750s today. they’re bulky, but the isolation and sound quality are both excellent (and I mean excellent - my basis for comparison is a beyerdynamic dt-990 pro). detachable cord, leather pouch and spare leather earpads included. good value IMO, I’ll be giving them a trial run next saturday.
oh yeah, I also went to a tma-1 reseller listed on their site, but they didn’t even have a pair for me to try out. how lame.
