Total beginner to ableton

Total beginner to ableton

Ok so I’ve decided as a project for the summer I’d like to learn to use a bit of Ableton. So, anyone got any tips on where to begin? I have absolutely zero experience in it…

Google is one way…

i made some recommandations here

first and foremost, learn to warp, learn to pick the algorithm that suits your loop,
lots of people give out about live’s sound but they generally warp everything with the beats algorithm, oddly it doesn’t suit slow sustained notes.

look up tom cosm on youtube, he does good lessons and even has live sets available to
download and have a play with.

Hope these help :open_mouth:)

Cosm is great! But the advanced lections cost cashish!

I worked in FL studio for about 6 years and just a month or so ago, i switched to Ableton (due to my purchase of a Mac) and i have come about 50% in my newest project.

Its easy once you get to understand it, so log on to cosm page, check his “bassline etc” tutorial and then just sit there and try the program for yourself. Thats what i did, and thats what you learn the most from i guess.

Cheers!
