I could test this at home I guess…but at work now.
Yes, you can use it without OSCulator now. TouchOSC sends and receives MIDI commands directly now, so there’s no need to have OSCulator convert OSC to MIDI for you.
Just download the template again from the website and follow the ‘Upgrading from previous version’ instructions.

problem
Actually i have a problems with mapings i think. when deck a is playing and im trying to enter hot cue mod on deck b, deck a is stops. And also when i press shift during the deck b playing it also stops. Any suggestions ?
Sorry you’re having trouble. I’ve just tried to replicate the errors you’ve mentioned and can’t find any problems. This was on Traktor 2. I haven’t tested with Traktor 1.
Just to be sure, if you could please download the template again, delete and replace the old with the new (on both Traktor and TouchOSC) and make sure you’ve got the latest version of TouchOSC. Then please let me know if you’re having the same trouble. If you could give any further info about what mode was active when this occurs, or if this happens all the time, it would be most helpful.
After your advice now it works. There is only one small problem when in play fx + shift mode on deck b there is no gain control.
P.S. If there any way to make it works for control of 4 decks ? Any modifyer that will swith between ab/cd ?
Having trouble again replicating this. Can you provide any more detail? Does this happen in any particular mode (eg., yellow), or when you use the the FX 1 or FX 2 buttons, or with any of the FX banks?
I’ve used up all the modifiers and set deck C and D as sample decks, so I’m not able to switch between 4 standard decks I’m afraid. The template requires that C and D are permanently set to sample decks.
It’s working with all effects in all modes hot cue/loop/mash. But when in play fx + shift its not working.

I think actually TouchOSC 1.7.1 does support note or CC information inside the touchosc template, could anybody confirm ?
Actually I’am working on a simple iphone template for Traktor which include direct control mapping into the template.
Then you would just have to setup a rtpMIDI with bonjour or a pureMIDI session, and load your tsi.
Normally that should be enough to complete simple things, no puredata nor osculator needed !!!
I tried to find the standard mapping for traktor in order to make an universal template that could work OOB… whitout osculator nor puredata painless programming.
The worst point might be to remap traktor with the learning mode but if any touch control is already mapped into the touchosc template that should be better than testing empty ones and setting up puredata/osculator.
(inside template mappping should work both under MAC and Windows ?)
