Dear Members, I’m a very new member who wants to start playing music and desperately in need of your help. I want to know which one should i buy. Traktor S2 or Ecler Nuo 2.0. I will play at home and at friends home parties most probably. I’ve learnt that with traktor i can only play with laptop/ipad but with ecler I can play both with my laptop or a cd player. Which one should you suggest? Are there major differences between those too? I will very much appreciate your guidance.

The S2 and Nuo are completely different pieced of equipment. The Nuo is a two channel mixer, designed to be used with extra equipment, and the S2 is an all-in-one controller, designed to just plug into a laptop and go. If you want something better to compare to, the Kontrol Z2 is a mixer designed for Traktor software.
Yeah the s2 is great for playing out with your laptop. The ecler is designed for use with turntables or cdjs, more old school. You’d need at minimum and audio interface and an x1 controller to use it with traktor with much success
But, Audio 2 + X1 will serve him a long time and in many ways better that S2. It all depends on the budget to be honest, S2 comes with TP licence so it’s a no brainer in that regard.
