Trakto Z1 Isolator mapping

Trakto Z1 Isolator mapping

Heres my first ever mapping, still learning the ropes, but i think this one works fairly decent.
Would love some feedback on any improvements/tips.

Once you put the Z1 in MIDI mode, the cue buttons will load the respective track to deck C which is working as the isolator. The cross fader is the volume fader for deck C and the FX buttons will unload the track.

The EQ knobs work as the add/subtract of the respective frequencies. Eg: Turning the Low knob to the right will add more lows and turning it to the right will subtract them.

Turning the knob slightly to the right will select the frequency and any effect that is routed to Deck C will be applied to that frequency.

Hi psinide,

Having dedicated button for duplicating the track in to the Isolator deck is nice, but, you can also map this function to your EQ knobs so that way you can easily copy track any time the EQ’s are modulated. Let me know what you think.

Thats actually a great idea. I’m gonna make some changes on the Z1s default mapping as well cos the Mode+Cue button plays and pauses the track. I’m having some trouble with the track unload mapping though, I want a sort of a kill-switch. Right now, The I have to press the FX button twice, some times thrice, cos i’ve mapped play/pause + unload track to it. Sometimes, the track will pause, and then play again and it goes out of sync. For now, I’ve mapped all the EQ kills to the FX button as well to avoid trainwrecks.

@Stewe, I’m getting my PL-1 soon, can’t wait to try out your perfomance mapping, saw the youtube video and it looks amazing!

Thanks dude, PL-1 is cool controller and very inspiring for mappings. Wish I had more time to get back on it and update some of FX presets… Hope you will find it fun and easy to use.
