As 2.6.1 caused the headphone channel to have a beep noise, I have been using 2.6.0. The new update works beautifully for me, but I noticed some things that I’m not sure if they are new to 2.6.2, or were in 2.6.1.
Loop display flashes when loop is active.
Setting a loop while in flux mode, the loop is only active while pressing the encoder down.
Also, when setting cue points, if the loop markers are on the track but not active, Traktor used to make my cue point a loop (which was a PITA). Now it just sets a cue point. Yeah!
So are these mapping improvements? Or have I just been behind the times?
Not suprised Tekki with the all the producing you’ve been doing.
Haha Yul. I know that feeling.
These are just some new things I noticed in the stock S4 mapping from 6.0 to 6.2. I figured since I waited a few days before upgrading, some one else could enlighten me. Maybe after the weekend.
The last thing I mentioned wasn’t a S4 mapping change, but a change in Traktor.
Ok this (Setting a loop while in flux mode, the loop is only active while pressing the encoder down.) has been true since flux mode came out. I guess I never tried to set a loop in flux mode before.
I saw the “what’s in the update” info, thats why I was wondering about the changes I noticed that weren’t listed. Thanks for posting it anyway!
So really theres only one possible S4 mapping change (loop display flashes when loop is active) that I have come across so far. Still curious if it was changed in 2.6.1 or is new in 2.6.2.
Ok, to reiterate the last thing I’m curious about in 2.6.2.
When setting cue points, if the loop markers are on the track stripe but not active, and I wanted to drop a hot cue anywhere between the loop markers, Traktor used to make my cue point a loop. Now it just sets a cue point.
Is this change new?
