Traktor Audio 10 and master volume

Traktor Audio 10 and master volume

hey im using my apc40, xone 42, traktor audio 10 in traktor at the moment until i construct a good mapping in ableton. Currently I have Channel A linked to 3/4 on the audio 10 Channel B linked to 5/6 and so on. One problem I am having is getting the master volume to play out on my speakers.I have Main 1/2 OUT running to my speakers…What could possibly be the problem?

thank you!

If you have Channel A at 3/4, B at 5/6; why are you using Main Out?? Speakers connect to your mixer..

Ya but its a four channel..so do I turn one of the channels into a master somehow?

The master output is on the back of the mixer.

I dont see a master volume on the back of it..heres a picture of the back

i forgot to mention i using like i guess you would call an entertainment system as speakers.. so they back of the reciever only has rca plug-ins

soundcard outputs to whatever channel inputs you like on your mixer via rca, mix out from your mixer to rca in of your “entertainment system”. get some matching cables or adapter, 2* xlr to rca mono, 1 for right and 1 for left. quite simple

ah yeah you can then control the master volume with the small knob that says “mix”

So I gotta get adapters that my rcas plug into and the other end are xlr to go into my sound card?

Or you meant adapter from mixer to speakers?

Ok I’m gonna do this step by step for you:
The sound goes from traktor to your audio 10 via usb.
then your sound goes from your soundcard into your mixer via rca-cables. Connect output 1 from your soundcard to input channel 1 on your mixer. Repeat up to 4 times. Choose the corresponding preferences in your traktor preference window (external mixing mode).
Then the sound goes from your mixer to your soundsytem (directly, not back again to your soundcard)
For that, connect your mix out of the mixer (xlr) to the rca input of your speakers
You will need special xlr to rca cables or adapters for that

Keep the Audio 10 and Xone 42 connected via Channel A linked to 3/4, Channel B linked to 5/6 and so on.

Then connect your RCA equipped speaker system to the RCA’s on the Xone 42 saying “BOOTH” and adjust the volume by the knob labeled “BOOTH” on the mixer.

Ya I had everything up until the adapter…just gonna have to get one offline or something

You can use the Booth or the Record RCA outputs of the Xone 42 as they mirror the XLR Master Mix Out, albeit at different volumes.
