TRAKTOR DJ Studio 2 with Midi Fighter

Im a beginner in djng and I was wondering if I could use Traktor Dj Studio 2 with a midi fighter:confused:

Traktor DJ studio 2 (assuming you don’t mean Traktor Pro 2) is pretty old but it did accept midi input so the midifighter would work. You would have to make your own mapping though.

If he is a beginner i think he would mean traktor pro 2 because i don’t know where he would get studio 2, but there is always the possibility

Yeah the only laptop i had was my old powerbook G4 1.5 ghz I heard that only Traktor studio work on it not pro (im sorry its not studio 2 its Traktor Dj Studio 3)

Well I assume the only way you could get hold of that would be to torrent it, and we don’t support torrented software.

I suggest you try mixxx or the free version of Virtual DJ.

well yes in theory, but as I say you’d have to map it yourself since everything before Traktor Pro used a different kind of settings file.

I am running Tiger 10.4.11 but can purchase software and upgrade to 10.5

you probably mean 10.6 (snow leopard), which costs something like $40. And the new 10.7 (Lion) is coming out in summer.

I used Traktor DJ Studio 2 until late 2006 - was much more stable than v3 for a loooong time - it almost certainly would support the Midi Fighter. Should be quite easy to write a mapping for it.
