Traktor DUO + X1 Question

Hey folks,

So on the TraktorX1, there seems to ba a handful of buttons that do nothing, when using Traktor Duo, would that be right? namely FX1,FX2, and FX1, FX2 which reside horizontally between the browser and loop knobs.

They are totally redundant buttons if I’m using Duo, right?

Also Duo has no quantize function, is that correct?

It has quantise, but I believe you’re right about the FX units.

Thanks- are you sure about quantize? I cant see any quantize button. Its hotkey is a secondary key on one of the dud FX buttons..

Is it TDuo 1 or 2? In v1, there’s a button in the middle at the top marked ‘quant’. In v2 there’s a button under the master volume dial labelled ‘Q’

Hmm. Maybe it’s always on? The Traktor version comparison page says that Duo has quantisation.

ok so (I appreciate your help) here on this video about 2/3 of the way thru (At 1.53), he says “If you have Traktors quantise function turned on, your hotcues will be seamless” and thats the whole reason for asking. My loops dont play seamlessly, they are dependent on me having precision button pressing timing, and if I could turn on this mysterious quantization, I imagine they would fire in perfect timing:

are you asking how to turn quantize on?

its just the “Q” button above the EQ section

and make sure you have “Sync” button turned on

sorry traktor duo does not have the quantize feature

to me the upgrade would be worth it for that single feature :wink:
