I have extensive years on both (3 steady on OSX to date) … DAILY hobby, semi and professional use.
Ableton Live … Focusrite Interfaces … Native Instruments Komplete … So many others … OZONE … Adobe CS5.
Maybe some of these people haven’t tried both.
I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SAY THAT THEY’RE GOING BACK TO WINDOWS BECAUSE IT WORKS BETTER FOR [INSERT ADVANCED CREATIVE COMPUTING TASK HERE] … EVER.
Someone’s gonna hop after this and say that they or their friend went back to Windows (probably to pirate vst’s and programs) … but I’ve been around working creative professionals for a while. → I ← always hear it the other way around.

did you make sure your hdd isn’t set to sleep at an hour? did you disable acpi? did you follow the optimization tips? did you try gamebooster? is your wifi off? is your virus protection running in the backround?
