Traktor load time getting longer
Hey guys,
I’ve been noticing that with each up-rev to the latest Traktor version the load time from launching Traktor to it completing my library scan is getting longer and longer. Anybody else having this issue and if so, do you have an elegant solution?
Is your laptop dedicated, or are you adding stuff to the hard drive between versions?
It’s not a dedicated DJ laptop, so, yes, I am adding things but not much. Mostly music and updates to either Traktor or Protools.
Basically, it gets to the “Checking Consistency” window and goes through the progress bar like 4.5 times before I get consistency results page. Seems like each time I upgrade the software it adds another pass to the progress bar.
Have you tried a full reinstall of the software? Maybe something corrupted in an upgrade.
When Traktor is quitting, it saves a backup and your last played songs (history).
Delete most of traktor´s backup and history!
documents>native instruments>traktor 2.x > backup
documents>native instruments>traktor 2.x > history
I do this about every 2 months and just keep the last data of each backup & history.
Could be the archive files…the ones that store the info of every song u played for every session u have…not sure tho
