I’m working on some mapping right now, but i have run out of buttons.
My question is: Can I set e.g. Modifier 1 to 2 (M1=2) in a second controller and allow this to my first controller.
are you saying you want to press a button on one controller and have it change the modifier state for the buttons on another controller? you can do this if they are part of the same mapping and you have midi in and out set to “all ports”, I believe.
It might be a good way, but there could be problems with MIDI signals. I mean if the two controllers send the same MIDI data it won’t work. E.g. I’d like to add 2 function to the first controller Ch1NoteA1 button, but the second controller send the same Ch1NoteA1 MIDI as a modifier. There will be chaos I think.
yes, that would be a problem. what kind of controllers are we talking about here? If one is an NI controller or midi fighter for instance, you could change the midi channel on one of them to avoid conflicts.
