  • High-Resolution 14 Bit MIDI support
  • New time-stretching algorithm (tbc)
  • New “Manual” clock mode for manual assignment of master and slave deck
  • Synchro Start
  • Adjustable pitch bend sensitivity
  • Modifiers for keyboard mappings
  • New 10% tempo slider range to match native range of various CD decks (CDJ etc.)

  • Option to physically delete tracks in browser
  • New “History Archive” browser node

Fixes:

  • Timecode Input now fully disabled in Internal Playback mode
  • Various other fixes[/QUOTE]

Can i get a “hell yeah” !?

Now all we need Vestax to write us another firmware for the VCI-100 that includes 14bit midi support, that or hack it and write it by ourselves.

  • Timecode Input now fully disabled in Internal Playback mode

this is the one i’ve been waiting for, up until now I get decks stuck at -100% pitch randomly in internal mode. Any news when this will be released? how long between beta testing and release on the prior releases?

14 bit Midi, very nice. Do I hear a Firmware 1.4 in the works for the VCI-100? Hack the world!

will 14bit midi make midi clock more reliable?

Dont mind that! The pitch slider will finally achieve more precise increments!!

14 bit midi!
Wow, no more Midi.Translator with my VCI-300 & Traktor Pro..
Now I am waiting for the official VCI-300 TT VCI-300 firmware and overlay

Personally i dont know what is cooler, a new pitch algorythm or the 14 bit midi - personally i am leaning towards the pitch alogrythm as that will be more useful to me. Then again 14bit midi is needed for proper control over the key knob! looks confused but happy

  • New time-stretching algorithm (tbc)
  • Synchro Start

pretty much the only things i’m interested in, other than “various other fixes” that might effect me.

I have no problem with the current sync system and lets assume the new time stretching algorithm just makes things sound nicer when you warp them.
14bit Midi is a great addition though for those that want to use it.
None of this is a big deal for me so far.

what’s so good about 14bit midi? I’m fairly new to this.

MIDI only transmits on 0-127 for everything, velocity, CC numbers, etc. etc. etc.

So it gets really inaccurate for minute changes, like pitch control. If a pitch fader can only transmit on 0-127. When you’re dealing with 10% that doesn’t mix very well, neither does 8%. But 14-bit MIDI transmits a LOT more detailed. I don’t know the numbers, but essentially it allows a lot more information to transmit to allow a lot more accurate info.

Maybe 14bit allows for decimals. Like: 0.6 or 126.5 etc.

14 bit = really awesomeness !!!

I believe 14 bit allows an output of 0 to 16384.

I think it is like twice the detailed resolution..so tighter and more accurate than 7 bit. Basically every move on the platter or pithc is tighter. They are already using 14 bit controllers for video and graphic applications as well.

it’s simple..if you now look at traktor you see that some decimals are simply skipped, like 0.2% and 0.7% or something…with 14bits midi pitch sliders you will be able to get the full resolution.

Is that actually possible?

Reloop came with a new firmware for the digital jockey so that the faders are 7bit instead of 14bit, so from 7bit to 14bit is possible, curious if from 7bit to 14bit is possible also.

this is not correct, the pitchfaders are still 14bits, only in a different format so that traktor pro can translate it internally to 7bits in the current version.

Indeed it is.
