Traktor - Quickly switch HID device?
Hey Cats,
Im using 1 x CDJ900 on my temporary setup with Traktor.
Is it possible to map a control to switch the CDJ900 between Deck A and B?
Currently holding the browse button on the CDJ allows you pick the deck, but its not terribly convenient.
I cannot find any mapping control that seems to fit this requirement.

Sounds pretty convenient to me?
I think it’s not possible by some control mapping.
Maybe people on Pioneer’s forum can answer that.
That’s quite easy. Add in two modifiers of the same kind (e.g. 2 times modifier 1). Use a button you don’t need to use for other purposes. Now set the condition of the one modifier to 1 and condition of the other one to 0. Now you created a toggle modifier. Fully create your mapping for Deck A and set the modifier conditions to 0.Then you create the exact same mapping for Deck B and set the value to 1.
That way, you can toggle between your two Decks.

Im not sure I understand.
How can the modifier do anything when there is no mappable control to switch HID controllers? I dont want to create my own mapping, just to quickly switch HID devices.

The knob has to be held down for 5 seconds, preventing quick switching. A simple button would be much quicker.
Also its a Pioneer, and the browse knobs dont feel that sturdy so I dont want to shorten its life by hammering it every couple of minutes.

It seems that there is no easy way of doing this without remapping the unit…
Moving this in to the mapping sub-forum.

I cannot create my own HID maps though correct? Only midi maps, which would mean i lose the resolution of NHL control?

You should be able to override controls in factory mapping. just like with other controllers that are supported with HID protocol.
