Traktor remix deck C-D to get an EQ for each slot with Ableton?

Sup boys

Got an idea in mind and I’d like to know what you guys think of it.

Traktor remix decks definately lacks an EQ for each slot.
I was thinking of linking Ableton & traktor and use send/return to get my eq from ableton

Would it be manageable?

Problem is that Traktor can output all four slots as only one stereo signal. However if you manage to route audio from Slot Monitor CUE than you could create an Ableton script that solos and gives EQ control for one Slot at a time.

hey Stewe ty for those infos, I’ll dig it and LYK

I’m gonna try to do sth similar to this

And contact NI to see if there’s a faster way

Youll most likely get phasing issues due to the latency. Its not an ideal way to use EQ.

The remix decks do have a filter per channel, that is the same thing as a broad eq anyway.

hm ok I guess I’ll stick with my filters but I really dont like this tweaking..

Youre overthinking it. Remix decks arent really meant for playing whole tracks that need to be EQd. A high/low pass filter should give you all you need to sit the samples in the mix.

well I’m playing samples and loops but I’d love EQs as I’m building a studio. I could use ableton for this but it’s a pain in the ass.

Traktors Remix decks are just a dumbed down, simplified version of Live anyway. Traktor is not a DAW, it’s certainly not something you’d build a studio around.

You are massively over-thinking what you think you need to do.
