Traktor (S4) Crashing on open
Trying to organise some music for a gig tonight and Traktor is crashing after open every time. Not sure what I can do to stop this??
ANy help much appreciated.
A little more info would be appreciated, but are you on a PC? and if so do you have any new apps installed? or have any random shit running in the background? have you downloaded any gay porn since last running traktor?

Imported some new music - all legit mp3’s from Beatport
Is there a preferences xml file or settings file I can delete or something?
renaming collection.nml seems to stop the problem but I need my collection!!
How do you restore a back up collection?
you can use one of the older collection files in the backup folder. every time you close traktor a new file is created.

You do know that Native Instruments is in Germany right? 
Removed to WAV files from the songs I imported and it is loading now.
What doesnt Traktor like WAVs or something?

restart your mac, if that doesnt work, make sure that you are running TS4 1.0.1.
ive found that when traktor wrights the id3s for wavs my comp has small hissy fits. but im not sure thats your problem
wavs don’t have id3, it’s stored in a) traktor’s collection b) itunes library

But Traktor does store info in Wavs. The NITR chunk holds Traktor information and the Data chunk holds audio data.
Sounds like a corrupt wav file to me.
Just bin it.
