Traktor sample deck help!

So i am running my cdj’s aggregated HID mode, mixing externally in traktor on decks A & B. I also am running my x1 for effects and hotcues…

I decided to load a sampel mapping for my x1 to run on decks C & D and i was unable to get sound from decks C & D… I have a xone:42 mixer which is 4 channels but i have only been doing 2 deck mixing until this point so i didn’t even notice i had no function for c & D. Is this because i need a sound card?

I feel really noobish for asking this but its frustrated the hell out fo me after search for quite some time. Id really like to add a LPD8 or perhaps another x1 just for C&D so please let me know my best solution. Thanks!

I am assuming you have the CDJ’s going USB to your computer and then RCA plugged into your mixer. So Traktor will recognize the CDJ soundcards as 1 soundcard with 4 outputs. So yes, in order to get sound for decks C&D, they need a soundcard. Since Traktor will only recognize 1 soundcard at a time you need an audio 8 or 10 to have sound for all 4 decks. The only other option would be to route decks C&D coming out on the same outputs as decks A&B, which I know you don’t want.

I figured that was the situation… Time to start loookin for an audio 8 or 10. Later tax return…
