You click on the spot you want to type in.
ok..but how is that mapping? do you not need to identify the function of the button in traktor? as well..how does it map the i/o signals to the leds let alone create a shift button for secondary functions..
you mean joost’s templates?
this are only pdfs for documenting mappings you created, not mappings themselfs..
Yeah these are just a tool yo help plan out mappings. They don’t work with traktor.
yeah those mappings..well..reading i get the asumption that you can..
i guess i don’t read good.
the thing is..i’m trying to re-map padi’s new traktor template to work in conjunction with tsp2..but instead of having 4 decks i want decks c/d to be the sample decks..
has anyone attempted such and edit and if so i’ll like to try it out
Delete the 2 pages assigned to C&D and rebuild that part. There is a reason why I divided it ![]()
i tried…but i dont understand how to get the multilevel mapping funtions to work and get the led outputs…
put it this way..i have the ideas..just not the technical knowledge on how to do it
if i can put the mapping that could work in a picture..do you think that you tech guys can re-write the tsi to match?
i don’t think you understand the amount of time/effort it takes to map a .tsi. if you don’t want to learn to do it yourself it’s better to either find a .tsi someone already made somewhere, or maybe someone would do what you’re asking if you paid them for their time. doing more than a few simple buttons, due to the nature of the controller manager in traktor, takes a good amount of time and i wouldn’t be surprised if you have a hard time finding someone with the goodwill to just do it without anything to gain from it.
i do understand the amount of time it takes, however i don’t understand some of the function within the control manager setting..you have to understand..i’m going from being able to create all of my own custom racks in ableton live to jumping into traktor and trying to do the same things..it’s not been an easy transition to say the least.
i’m just very unfamiliar with how the mapping functions work and how to apply them to the apc…i’m using padi’s most resent tsi as a base but i’m stuck on what the modifiers mean and how to map the proper led outputs. i’ve already mapped out some of sample decks but i’m scared to delete functions which apply to decks c/d..
i’m hoping to integrate the sample decks just below decks a/b so i don’t have to use 2 pages…
at first i was just gonna use 1 sample deck in the area between decks a/b but i don’t seem to understand how to program the i/o outputs to the LEDs..another thing i don’t understand is the modifiers ..what are they for and what’s their function?
again..if i can show a picture of what i’m looking to accomplish is there anyone who could give me a tutorial on how to achieve this while not having to build the tsi on their own for me
if you have specific problems then i’m sure people will help you out - but not as broad as “can someone map all these functions for me” etc
mapping in traktor can take a lot of time - but it’s not as tricky as you might think.
the controller editor layout pretty much sucks but doesnt take too much trial and error to get into it.
there’s loads of gereral tips in this thread Traktor mapping tips, tricks and questions. and you can find answers to most of your questions by searching the forum i am sure.
but feel free to post specific questions etc.

You will have to learn the same way we all did mate, it’s the best for you anyways.
PS: I sold my APC some time ago so even if I did map it, debugging would be impossible.
PS2: The last time I exported it was in Oct '10, so the map ain’t that new
thanks guys..
i’m trying..and i’ll check out that link you’ve posted…i’ll see what i can do
cool
give it a shot and post questions etc. i only started mapping a few months ago and found that starting to create my own mapping rather than trying to understand someone else’s one was the way to go.
which at least u can do here if you do what @padi_04 said and delete the C&D mappings only as then u have a clean sheet to map the sample decks leaving decks A&B as they were…
yeah i want to …but i want to move some of his mappings around to other buttons…without underestanding how it works i have no clue what to move/delete…it’s messed..but i’ll see what i come up with
one easy trick - tho there might be an easier way - is to add any IN, press ‘learn’ and press the button i want to find in the map - sort by the midi ch/note/cc and then delete the one i added (before i forget). then you will have hilited and together any mappings that are associated with that control.
padi - how do i remap the toggles from fx deck focus a and b to another pair of buttons on the apc??
Find those commands in the controller manager and learn them to the new button. You may need to change other buttons as well depending on modifiers and what else is going on in there.
the problem is..i can’t find them..looks like the track selection buttons are the ones controlling the effects..i want to move them into the scene launch section
