Transferring everything to new computer.

Hi,
This christmas I will be upgrading my mac book to a mac book pro and I would like to know if it is possible to make my new computer have all the same settings, software and files as my old mac (So the computers would be exactly the same apart from the hardware) without having to move everything manually?
