Personally i think it would be highly irritating having some bell end staring at you through your laptop screen whilst you’re trying to concentrate :stuck_out_tongue: Making drunk faces and such.

I was in a bar a while ago and they had the serato screen projected onto the wall beside the DJ booth. Proved enough to me that the guy wasn’t just on facebook :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know… It’s cool to have big oled transparent monitors at events and performing artists, or even at an art installation… but why the hell would you want a transparent monitor or tv screen at home or at work?

Plus the color/contrast/brightness is much worse in those screens…

Even though it might not be practical it could improve I mean look at how far flat screen tv’s have come..

it looked to me like it was sorta like a two way mirror, very difficult to see what was on the screen from the opposite side. hmm we’ll see in a year or two once they’re ready to put out.

I’m going more of a http://vuzix.com/iwear/products_wrap920ar.html route from the CES tech. No trainspotting at all, and no checking the email look :slight_smile:

Now we just need touch responsive clear screens like in that movie Minority report, to with which I can program Ableton to queue clips in the session with my finger tips

  • special see threw film that goes over glass so it can be used as a projector screen
  • a projector
  • a computer
  • blue tooth
  • a wii mote
  • johnny lee’s whitebord software
  • a light (moded with a infrared LED) or a few for muti-touch

there you have it “touch responsive clear screens like in that movie Minority report” i have this set up already, just not on glass.
