I am listening on a home computer Logitech 5.1 setup. Itās a little old and well used, but has a large floor sub as well. I generally have the sub at about 50% just because of others in the house.
I say needs more bass generically, in that there is some really deep bass I could hear, but not well without the music cranked. Some mid/high bass freq. arenāt being hit that generally sit better with me listening to music without it being cranked to where I can feel it.
yeah, my bass levels and i have a love hate relationship. iāve been warned so many times about putting too much bass in the mix, guess i took it a bit too far perhaps? but iām working out a new mix of it atm so iāll post it up and see what you guys think.
Hey just ran another listen through this. Still really enjoying it, but I figured out what I was trying to say before. I had to turn my sub up to get all the notes. Now it just may be my own audio setup, I donāt know, but it seems like itās a lot of sub-bass and not a ton of mid/high bass. And it sounds great if I got the speakers going, but quite literally I canāt hear the bass if I have it low.
Nice tune. Great work on drums and that vocal sample. As somebody said before i think it needs more bass. There is enough sub bass, but there is a lot of āemptyā space between sub and the other synth. Listened to it on Adam A7ās.
iāve been thinking over this track ever since the first comment about the bass, and i think i may know what the deal is. i havenāt touched the project since but iām going to open it up soon and see what my EQing on the sub was like. i feel like the problem lies in not enough emphasis on the lower mid range (~150-~250hz), gonna try boosting this and see what happens.
thanks for the love guys, and more importantly the criticism
