trpro-audio still jumps in loop brace

one thing i still find with the new upgrade is that when a song is playing and enters into and area with a loop brace set, the audio sort of pauses/glitches/jumps

i ve tried various latency settings … any suggestions?

Change the cache setting in your preferences.

cache size is currently

256mb for A & B

8MB for C & D

these jumps were occurring whilst only using decks A & B

How long are your loops?

most of them 4 - 8 bars

I use A & B for tracks with loop braces in them and C & D just for loops which i wanna mix in over the top of tracks or for use in transitions from one track to another

That’s weird… Can you up the cache setting again and see what happens?

Also, is there a Seamless loop check box?

Oh, also, are you beat gridding your songs?

infact every time the track goes past a cue marker it glitches and there is a small audio drop out or stutter

tried various cache and latency settings …

im getting a new 17" mc pro in 6 weeks so maybe that might help but its weird as the mac is handling ableton 8 beta testing quite ok and that is a cpu pig

I don’t think it’s the machine. I think it’s something with your grids or settings. We’ll trouble shoot through it :slight_smile:

typed that into the manual search and nothing came up - you mean the loops auto detect size?

songs are beat gridded

Hm… maybe it’s not in TPro? Damnit, I wish I had my laptop on me. Are Snap or CD mode on? Is Sync lit up? Does it still do it if you turn Sync off?

snap on - quant on .. sync lit up.. all decks like its super bad, like the waveforms almost comes to a complete standstill .. its not a small glitch -

and check this - i just clicked in the waveform to scroll before a loop brace to check it again and i got a freezed waveform and a solid yellow block - check the attached pic

also just changed over soundcard from AK1 to Motu traveler

Oh this looks like fun.

First restart TPro.
Second, turn of Snap, CD Mode, Sync and Quant.
Now, run a track with a loop on.
Does it still happen?

i ll get back to you as soon as i ve gone through it - i switched it on to have a mix and ended up bug finding - or trouble shooting and im not up for it at the moment

so im gonna fire up abe 8 beta - at least i know that’s gonna be riddled with bugs but i can work in it at least

i have nt used tpro for a month cos i got tired of the prospect of trouble shooting every time i switched it on . .anyways …

what did you make of the freeze pic?
