Trying to upgrade my ableton

So i had the Lite KORG edition of ableton live which i got free out a magazine last year, and my introduction to Ableton course with the council ended a few months ago. Now i was the lucky bugger that walked out with the full version of Live8. but its just sat in its box since. installed it on my mac, no problem at all. but when i tried to install it on my PC. it kept bumping up the old KORG lite. un-installed both and re-installed live. still saying live korg edition. HELP?!

Probably the korg edition is still installed and it keeps defaulting to that one. This is why I use a mac, heh, so I don’t know if this is any help to you but maybe search to see if there’s another copy of Live on your hard drive?

hoodless, i still have that problem on my pc. my solution was to buy a mbp.

however, I recommend contact ableton, since you’re not the only one with the issue they will probably know how to fix it.

Wow, and you could have just followed number 11 in the Ableton Authorization FAQ (that I found on Google) to deauthorize your old serial by deleting the config file, and then inputting the new one?

But I guess that’s why you’re a Mac, and I’m a PC…
