I’d go for battle style, you can easily pitch bend, dropping your needle is more accurate (in my opinion) and you can scratch and beatjuggle better ![]()
because of space i have them turned BM
but i learned with them in standard mode.
it takes some getting used to when mixing and having to reach over everything to use the pitch faders.
Had them in standard mode for 14 years
Now in battle mode purely for space with a vestax 06
at first it was a pain BUT now I actually prefer ![]()
Battle Style, if only because I don’t have space.
And what’s all this nonsense with not using the pitchfader? Do you guys play a constant BPM for a whole set or what? I need to use the pitchfader to beatmatch between transitions that purposefully change tempo so I can switch from dance to rap and vice-versa. Technically I could just tap tempo and auto-sync but that’s not as much fun as potentially trainwrecking my sets. ![]()
Real DJs don’t use the pitch fader, they manually push the track to the correct tempo.

You can plug turntables in??? I’ve always done it manually, old school ftw.
Na, this guy DJ’s old school -

nah mate, this guy’s old school…
inverted battle style, just to change things up.
I wanna see him scratch with that inverted standard turntable… ha!
I missed DJ Marky the other day. Apparently he was holding the turntable upside down while scratching.
Seen dj Murphy doing this at timewarp in manhiem!
battle, so i dont hit the needles by mistake
Standard. I haz space, learnt that way and want to reach the pitch fader easily
