Who’s going down to Miami for the Ultra Music Festival next month? I’m not. Sadly. I wish I was, I’m from the Chicago area (which comes out to about a 22 hour drive), and I don’t have the time or money to make it there.
I have a boat load of friends that are going. I would try to find some money/sell my body if I didn’t have to be at school. Damn it!
I’m particularly pissed about the dubstep artists they’re having there; Caspa, Rusko, Skream, Nero (yeah I know say what you want about Caspa & Rusko, I still like 'em).
Ultra is over rated. It ends at Midnight and with all the people leaving at once it will take you forever to get to your next destination. It really is a cluster phuck
I’m going, and Nephew, it can be a cluster, but it’s totally worth it imo.
To be honest, I’m looking forward to some of the afterparties more than Ultra itself. World of Drum and Bass thursday, Future Sound of Breaks friday, and then going to the Metalheadz show Saturday.
All in all going to be a great time. I’m driving 30ish hours down from Massachusetts and going to be spending almost a week with some of my best friends listening to great DJ’s spin. Can’t think of anything better than that honestly.
For the price of admission and how much food/drinks cost, I believe there are better parties you can go to for a lot less. Another factor that sucks is all the underage raver kids there.
