Upgrading traktor
I just ordered a kontrol x1 which comes with tp2 free. Is it an upgrade or the full software? I currently own (legally purchased) traktor pro and scratch duo 2. If it is an upgrade, can i upgrade to pro 2 and sell the original copy of traktor pro? or am i just being optimistic?
Short reply is yes it is a full copy not an upgrade.
And yes you can sell your old copy of traktor.
You can sell your old Traktor, but not the new free one. That license is not transferable.

What you might want to think about is selling both the old Traktor Pro version as well as the new TP2 version, because there is an upgrade-option available right now from NI from any Traktor Scratch-Version to a full Scratch version of Traktor 2 for 69 bucks.
The sales should bring you at least the money for the upgrade. Just my 0.02$
