Urgent traktor help needed!!

HEY

i was meant to start a party an hour ago but having alot of trouble setting up traktor. i got a new laptop and got traktor

i have owned it for over a year and a hlaf and had it working fine. got a new laptop and my audio finally back from NI

anyway main problem is i cant find anyway to get external mode working!!!

when i choose on each deck - internal mode, external mode and audio through there is no option for external mode for me

WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!

DONT KNOW IF ITS SOMETHING SIMPLE BUT REALLI NEED URGENT HELP NEED TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!

Check Audio setup. Switch Between Internal/External and see if there is any change.

Under “output routing” in the “system preferences” ?

Try switch to built in soundcard

no no luck there is still no option for external mode nor nothing has worked

What version of traktor is it?

And what soundcard is it?

Sorry my mistake, If you select on the deck letter you can select internal mode and audio through. Its in Preferences: Output Routing you can select Internal/External and then select output channels for each deck. I think its what MaxOne was writing…

Worst comes to worst i’d knock up a quick computer keyboard mapping and go internal…

Deck A
Q - Play/Pause
W - Cue
E - Cup

Deck B
A- Play/Pause
S - Cue
D - Cup

Use cursors for crossfader

deck a vol - =
deck b vol

etc

Preferences → Output Routing → Top of the screen click ‘external’
If there is no such option: you’re not using traktor.
If somehow the text ‘external’ is unclickable:
Maybe try Preferences → Audio setup and select the right ‘Audio Device’ from the drop-down menu..

cheers for all the advice. Ended up deleting traktor altogether there now before looking at this thread :disappointed: i ended up getting traktor 1.1 of my old laptop and it worked alrite though all my midi configerattions were wiped :disappointed: going to try and get something sorted this weekend but thanks once again for all the help
