Using Studio Monitors for other things

Using Studio Monitors for other things

I’m going to be getting some KRK RP6 in the next few days, just wondering if people hook up there’s up to there TV or other systems and how, or the best way to do it?

I have everything plugged into my DJM-800, and external sources just going into unused channels.

Studio monitors are for music only. They will not work with a TV. In fact, if you hook them up to a TV they will get into an argument over who is the more superior technology and who is more well-liked by their owner. I’ve seen it happen 100 times.

I connect my RP8’s to my television aswell through an AUX output  Bass can be a little overwhelming though.

trolololol…

well…as a bit of a geek…everything runs through my patch bay, so i can run anything through anything/everything

 Hopefully OP knows

Getting tired of those sounds on your game? just turn down the gain or fader
Feel like you cannot hear your opponent? EQ the mids up… lool

Seriously though, you shouldn’t be using your studio monitors for stupid shit like your TV etc… but a cheap home theater system at Target or online for like $200 if you need speakers on your TV. Do yourself a favor and keep the studio monitors in the studio!!

hehe, I used to get bored and use the FX on my old DJM-600 on the radio and TV… pissed my housemates off no end lol.

HAHAHA, Now I have to try this XD

It’s been stated before and bears repeating.

Get a subwoofer with Rokits. They sound great, but lack the low end, unlike the Kardashian sisters.

Me too rofl :3

Flange out all the dirty words!

My monitors (krk5s) are connected to my laptop via Audio 2. Through some other wiring, i have used them for SMALL house parties and such. I also use them as my default audio for my laptop (anything from youtube vids to skype) with no issues.

why don’t you just buy a set special for your TV, and use the monitors for what they are build for.

Or you could just use what you have. There’s nothing wrong with using your monitors as TV speakers if you want to.

It’ just my opinion, what he does with it later, is in his hands. I’m not gonna tell anyone to do what i want. I don’t mean to offend anybody.

lolololololol

if I had the cash to buy speakers for both I probably would as it is I was just looking for a solution by just getting some monitors, turns out my old sony hi-fi sounds better than I thought after finding it out so that will now be plugged into the tv

That’s the next thing on the “to buy list”
