The M100 is the 2013 DJ headphones of the year. It also comes with 2 sets of kevlar cables. You can plug the cable at either sides. The hard case is really compact and looks like an alien egg. Very clever design.
Not very much difference in size compared to the Sennheiser HD-25. But my ears fit perfectly in the ear cups as they won’t in the HD-25.
I’ve been a Sennheiser user since 1998 and have 4 pairs. Last two sets are HD-280 Pro which I loved using. I was about to upgrade to HD-25 but after some research, I learned about V-Moda and placed my order on this. I’m really glad I did the crossover from Sennheiser to V-Moda. I’m very much happy with it.
I’ve tried my friend’s LP2 and sounds good as well but it lacks a little bass in my opinion especially when used for DJing. But still, sound quality is superb.
I really like the look of them, and the personalized shields is a killer concept. If I ever have to buy new cans, these are moving toward the top of the list. Around the ear all day over on the ear. I have Pioneer HDJ-2000’s at the moment and don’t see them failing anytime soon, but you never know.
I got the extra pair of shields and laser engraved logos for free as a gift from my friend whom I ordered the M100. He works at DJ Corner store in Dubai. They are the exclusive distributor there and have laser engraving services.
Surprisingly, the M100 is much more comfortable than my Sennheiser HD-280 Pro which I loved using in 10 years (2003-2013).
The HD-25 is top class too. I was supposed to upgrade to that but went for V-Moda instead. A decision made right.
I bought a pair of Crossfade LP’s two weeks ago from Amazon for just over £100 new, I’m really impressed with them so far.
Never had over ear before, really comfortable and way better than the Sony’s I’d been using (until they snapped). The crossfades weren’t originally my first choice but it has worked out great. Really fancy a red shield and a green shield on mine but not buying two kits to waste a pair of shields…
If anyone else in the UK is as colour stupid as me then give me a shout, we could by a pair each and swap a shield each
Hi, first of all great pictures, I really like the look of M 100, but I have a question. I’m about to buy new headphones and after reading a lot of reviews, i narrowed my selection to 3 different headphones : M 100, LP 2 and HD 25. I know there’s quite big price difference between M 100 and LP 2’s, and I have to say I don’t really have a lot of money. The HD 25 are somewhere between in price range, but which one do you guys prefer ? Are the M 100 so much better than LP 2/HD 25, that I should pay that extra money, or are the LP’s also great ?
I have tried all three before putting my order on the M100. My first choice was the HD25 which I have been wanting ever since. My friend’s LP2 sounded great as well and also considered it. But after trying the M100 and compared them to the other two choices, I didn’t have second thoughts and went ahead with my order. I’m really glad I made this choice.
